NEWS FROM THE CONGO 8/5/2008

Dear Friends and family:

Jambo yainu! Bonjour tout le monde, Hello every one!

We are in Kamina.

All of us preached on Sunday. Matt in French at the Francophone Parish, Linda at Katuba, the sister to Geneseo, David at Kamina UMC.
Today we are filling prescriptions! At the Shungu clinic, as we did yesterday (free medicine day) and observing Dr. Kasanka's surgeries.
Internet has been impossible until today.

All are well.
Our friends here greet you. John Mutombo was here, but has left for his new appointment in Lubumbashi. Rev. Kabongo will take his responsibilities here in Kamina, at least in the Episcopal office. We have eaten in the homes of Dr. Kasanka, and Tschinish Kabong, and mama Mujinga will have us. The Bishop was here, but has been in Kabongo for several days. Fabrice and Mbuyu Muylumba have been taking good care of us.
