Pastor Rick Kock
Pastor of Missions/Discipleship
Rick and Donna have lived in the town of Aurora with their two children (Carrie and Jacob) for 20 years. Donna is a nurse for Kaleida and works in the cardio-angio unit at Buffalo General. Rick has been a pharmacist since 1979 and currently works at the Erie County Medical Center while serving as the pastor of Williston UMC. He has been serving churches for eight years and having been "called" while in Holland, he has also served St. Paul's in West Valley and in Machias. Carrie is currently at Buffalo State where she is finishing her degree in teaching. Jacob will graduate from Holland this year and has been accepted at Morrisville where he will participate in an auto design and engineering program.
They bring with them their love of God and a passion for missions. Rick's most recent trip was to Paraguay as a part of a medical mission team. They are the Western New York mission representatives for the Mission Society which serves in over 30 countries worldwide. Rick graduated from seminary at the Buffalo campus of UTS and brings a real passion for youth. You may have seen him at Kingdom Bound or one of the Joshua events. He also teaches at the Martial Arts Academy on Olean Road where he is a 2nd degree black belt in Kemp karate. Over the last several years he has also given seminars on meditation for our Boys and Girls Club.
Jacob and Rick are classic-antique car buffs: their collection includes a 1933 Dodge sedan a 1953 Dodge Red Ram series hemi and a 1963 Corvair Monza convertible. You might have seen them and or their car at the Toyfest.
As a family they look forward to being an active part of the Baker family and watching as God leads us into new places. They will be actively searching to discover how their gifts fit Baker's vision and how together with Williston we can do God's work throughout out community
