CROP Walk
Since 1977 the CROP Walk has been an annual event in East Aurora that raises funds for Church World Service, an ecumenical relief and development agency that provides resources and programs to 80 countries. 25% of the funds raised in East Aurora are donated to local organizations that assist hungry people in our area. The CROP Walk is a 3 or 5 mile walk through the Village of East Aurora, beginning and ending at Hamlin Park. Volunteers are needed for publicity, as church liaisons, and to provide rest stop snacks.
Strawberry Festival & Jumble Sale
Each year on a Saturday at the end of June (the same weekend as the Roycroft Arts Festival) Baker holds the annual Strawberry Festival and Jumble Sale. This event involves the total church body and the surrounding community. The month leading up to the sale is spent collecting any saleable items, and the week prior we are preparing and organizing all the items. All items not sold are donated to local missions or non profit groups. This is a wonderful time of church fellowship and involvement for all work together, side by side.
